invites applications for the position of Senior Specialist of the Internal Security Department (Cybersecurity Manager) (position code 2529 07), work location - Talejas Street 1, Riga Requirements for applicants: at least first-cycle higher professional education (in cybersecurity, law or related field); state language proficiency corresponding to level C1; compliance with the requirements of Article 9 of the Law on State Secrets and Clause 11 of Cabinet Regulation No. 397 of June 25, 2025 "Minimum Cybersecurity Requirements"; in-depth knowledge of the legal framework for cybersecurity in Latvia and the European Union; independently established and active secure electronic signature (eParaksts mobile or eID card). Experience in cybersecurity management and a valid internationally recognized cybersecurity certification (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CompTIA Security+, CEH or equivalent) will be considered an advantage. Duties of the position: ensure the security of the agency's communications and information systems; monitor the cybersecurity of the information and communication technology (ICT) infrastructure used by the State Fire and Rescue Service (hereinafter - VUGD); identify security gaps and implement preventive measures to reduce cyber threats; develop, improve and maintain VUGD cybersecurity policies, procedures, guidelines and other cybersecurity-related documentation; conduct cyber risk identification and assessment, coordinate cyber risk mitigation measures, and participate in the identification, response and investigation of cybersecurity incidents; provide professional opinions within the scope of expertise to VUGD employees, working groups and project teams, ensuring compliance with security requirements in the development and implementation of new ICT solutions; plan and organize employee cybersecurity training and promote cyberhygiene culture within VUGD. Knowledge and skills: information security management and standards; information security risk management methodology, standards and best practices; ability to work with office software (Microsoft Office, Excel); excellent communication skills, high sense of responsibility, accuracy, ability to cooperate and work in a team; ability to apply positive communication skills and adapt dynamically to situations; business communication and presentation skills; ability to identify, analyze and solve problems, take responsibility for own actions and their consequences; ability to independently plan and organize own work to achieve defined objectives; ability to argue own opinion; self-initiative, ability to seek and propose new solutions; willingness and ability to learn, continuing to develop own skills and knowledge; analytical thinking, accuracy and high sense of responsibility.
