Industrial Electrician at Quant's site in Piteå We are looking for a driven and technically skilled industrial electrician who wants to take on a broad and independent role in our maintenance team at Hitachi in Piteå. This is a position for you if you enjoy working close to operations, like qualified troubleshooting, and want to work with electrical systems, control systems, and improvement work in a production environment. Quant in Piteå is growing, and today we have 11 employees in the maintenance team with various specialist competencies. We are now looking for you to contribute your experience and eventually take overall responsibility for electrical maintenance on site. Your role as an industrial electrician In your role as an industrial electrician with us, you will have an important function in the daily maintenance work on site. You will be responsible for driving and developing electrical maintenance in close collaboration with the customer, production, and maintenance colleagues. The role suits you if you have broad electrical expertise and also have an understanding of control systems and automation in an industrial environment. The focus is on practical troubleshooting, analysis, and improvement work in the facility – not pure programming. You will be part of a maintenance group consisting of maintenance technicians, maintenance engineers, and electricians, where collaboration and problem-solving are central to daily work. Responsibilities · Perform both emergency and preventive maintenance to ensure high operational reliability · Responsibility for troubleshooting, maintenance, and development of electrical equipment and electrical systems at the facility · Troubleshoot and analyze control systems and PLC-related functions in interaction with machinery and processes · Participate in improvement work and contribute to increased operational reliability, availability, and optimization of machinery · Collaborate with production, production engineering, and the maintenance team to minimize downtime · Work is scheduled for daytime hours; shift work may occur Qualifications · Secondary education in electrical/automation or equivalent documented experience · Experience troubleshooting in industrial electrical systems, automated production equipment, and controlled machinery · Experience with practical troubleshooting in production environments, close to machinery and processes · Good understanding of PLC and control systems, and ability to troubleshoot in industrial automation environments · Ability to read, interpret, and troubleshoot using electrical schematics and technical documentation · Good problem-solving skills and a structured working approach · Good computer skills We are looking for you who have relevant education and/or experience from manufacturing operations in maintenance, electrical systems, or automation. You are experienced in troubleshooting both modern and older equipment and have a good understanding of electrical equipment, electrical schematics, and technical documentation. If you have experience as an industrial electrician or in a similar broad role in industrial maintenance, that is a merit. We also see that you have good problem-solving skills and appreciate collaboration and customer orientation as important parts of succeeding in this role. Since this position involves close contact with the customer, it is important that you communicate and collaborate easily with others.
