No Picnic AB is a new subsidiary within Xiris Group AB that designs products for consumer, industrial, and defense markets with high demands on both aesthetics and functionality. Initially, you will work on our own products connected to our proprietary software platform MIRS, but we also see external projects as a possibility long-term.
With our technology, we make eyeglasses smart and watches into powerful media devices. We are also developing a multifunctional mini-router that can be used together with our own products, as a standalone media player, or as a 5G router.
We are looking for an exceptional industrial designer who wants to help shape the next generation of consumer electronics.
This is a role for someone who loves form, proportions, materials, and function – and who has the technical expertise to take an idea from sketch to finished product.
About the Role
As a designer at No Picnic, you will quickly take on a central role in developing both the subsidiary and our future product platform. You will work closely with our CEO and founder, our electronics and mechanical teams, and help shape our visual design language and identity.
What We're Looking For
Very strong sense of form and function
Documented experience in industrial design within consumer electronics
Advanced CAD skills – preferably SolidWorks
Experience with KeyShot, Blender, 3ds Max, or equivalent
Very strong competence in freeform/surface modeling
Understanding of mechanics, electronics, and volume production
Ability to work quickly, hands-on, and solution-oriented
It's a plus if you have experience with miniaturized products, wearables, IoT, consumer electronics, or similar products where compact format has been a central design requirement.
In short: We're looking for a designer who is equally strong in design language as in 3D, and who can combine creative excellence with technical precision.

You are curious and technically driven and enjoy solving problems without an obvious solution.
You need to be able to work independently while also appreciating close collaboration with other tech-minded people. You are unpretentious, thorough, persistent, and ready to test, measure, redo, and improve until the solution works and looks as it should.
