We are now seeking an Industrialization Engineer for a comprehensive consulting assignment with a leading defense industry player. You will become an important part of a new End-to-End Cable Center of Excellence, responsible for developing, verifying, industrializing, and putting into production advanced cable systems. The operation is building a fast-paced and cross-functional team responsible for the entire product lifecycle – from concept and development to verified series production. The work is characterized by short decision-making paths, significant personal responsibility, and a clear focus on quality, delivery, and technical excellence. Tasks and Areas of Responsibility As an Industrialization Engineer, you are responsible for industrializing products and establishing robust, efficient, and repeatable manufacturing processes. You function as an important link between design, production, quality, procurement, and suppliers. By ensuring that products are adapted for manufacturing, you contribute to an efficient transition from prototype and verification to stable series production. The role encompasses both strategic development work and practical support close to production. Your Profile MIL-cable, Military Cable Harnesses, are advanced cable systems developed for military vehicles and defense systems. The systems must function in very demanding environments and meet high requirements for robustness, quality, traceability, and reliability. The work may include, among other things, material selection, connector solutions, assembly methods, prototype development, verification, testing, production preparation, and series production. Your Main Responsibilities • Plan and execute industrialization of new and modified products • Take responsibility for production preparation and development of manufacturing documentation • Develop, document, and ensure quality of production processes • Create work instructions, assembly sequences, and inspection points • Ensure that products and designs are adapted for efficient manufacturing • Identify needs for tools, fixtures, equipment, and production aids • Participate in prototype building, verification, and production trials • Drive the introduction of products into series production • Analyze and improve quality, capacity, lead times, and manufacturing costs • Manage production-related deviations and contribute to corrective actions • Collaborate with design, quality, procurement, production, and suppliers • Contribute the production perspective early in the product development process We Are Looking for You If You • Have experience with industrialization, production engineering, or production preparation • Have worked with the introduction of new products or processes into production • Have experience creating work instructions and manufacturing documentation • Understand the relationship between design, manufacturing process, quality, and cost • Can read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and product documentation • Have the ability to drive activities from planning through execution and follow-up • Have relevant technical education or equivalent work experience • Can communicate well in Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing It Is Meritorious If You Have • Experience with MIL-cable or other advanced cable systems • Worked with cabling, electronics assembly, connector assembly, or electromechanical products • Experience from defense, automotive, aerospace, marine, or other advanced manufacturing industries • Knowledge of Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) • Experience with Lean, standardized work, risk analyses, or root cause analyses • Worked in operations with high demands for quality, documentation, and traceability • Experience developing suppliers or industrializing production with external partners • Knowledge of relevant quality and manufacturing standards for cabling As a Person You are structured, analytical, and solution-oriented with a genuine interest in production and technology. You have the ability to see both the big picture and the details required to create a stable manufacturing process. You enjoy collaborating across functional boundaries, take responsibility for driving work forward, and are comfortable switching between technical discussions, documentation, and practical work in production.
