It is a school with deep roots and a significant place in the Irlava Parish community. Located in a unique, nature-surrounded environment by the Abava River, the school's daily life is closely intertwined with the local community's life, sense of belonging, and educational traditions. The school's history dates back to 1880, and today, its further development requires a purposeful, inspiring, and professional leader.
Requirements for candidates:
• The candidate is not subject to restrictions for working as a pedagogue as set forth in the Education Law and the Law on the Protection of Children's Rights;
• Education in accordance with the requirements set out in the Education Law and Cabinet Regulations regarding the necessary education and professional qualifications for pedagogues and the procedure for professional development;
• Knowledge of the state language at the highest level in accordance with the State Language Law;
• At least 3 years of pedagogical work experience in general education or education management; experience in managing a general education institution will be considered an advantage;
• Computer skills;
• Knowledge of education institution financing matters;
• Impeccable reputation and loyalty to the Republic of Latvia and its Constitution.
We offer:
• Monthly salary from EUR 2,350.00;
• Employer co-financed health insurance and other social guarantees in accordance with regulations.
Documents – a motivated application, CV, copies of documents confirming education and qualifications, a certificate of state language proficiency (if necessary), a vision for the development directions of Irlava Primary School, a confirmation that the candidate is not subject to restrictions for working as a pedagogue as set forth in the Education Law and the Law on the Protection of Children's Rights (found in the competition regulations appendix), and, preferably, recommendations, should be submitted by August 16, 2026:
