Vacancy: Senior Inspector (Contact Person) of the Resocialization Department at Olaine Prison, 5413 02 Position Type: Full-time Salary: from 1795 EUR Work Location: Prison Administration's Olaine Prison – Riga Street 10, Olaine, LV-2114 Contact Information: 67290152; 67290148, [email protected] Send CV and cover letter to: [email protected]; [email protected] Requirements for candidates: Compliance with the requirements set out in the Service Regulations for Officials with Special Service Ranks of the Interior Ministry System Institutions and Prison Administration: Llatvian citizen; Age from 18 to 50 years; At least first-level professional higher education; Latvian language proficiency at C2 level; Physical fitness complies with requirements set by the Cabinet of Ministers (Cabinet of Ministers Regulations No. 288 of 28.05.2013 "Physical Fitness Requirements for Officials with Special Service Ranks of the Interior Ministry System Institutions and Prison Administration"); Health condition and psychological characteristics comply with requirements set by the Cabinet of Ministers (Cabinet of Ministers Regulations No. 970 of 21.11.2006 "Regulations on Health Condition and Psychological Characteristics Required for Officials with Special Service Ranks and Candidates for Official Positions of the Interior Ministry System Institutions and Prison Administration, and the Procedure for Health Condition and Psychological Characteristics Assessment"); Has not been convicted of an intentional criminal offense – regardless of conviction record erasure or removal; Has not been sentenced for an intentional criminal offense with exemption from punishment; Has not been prosecuted for commission of an intentional criminal offense, except in cases where the official was prosecuted but the criminal proceedings were terminated on rehabilitative grounds; Has not been declared incapable in the manner prescribed by law; Has not been dismissed from service in the Interior Ministry system or Prison Administration due to disciplinary dismissal; Good computer skills (MS Word, MS Excel); Ability to plan and organize own work, prioritize assigned tasks; Good communication skills, high psychological resilience; Ability to work both as a team and individually; High sense of responsibility, analytical thinking, ability to work under high-intensity conditions. Duties: Conduct individual resocialization work with convicted persons by developing and implementing resocialization plans, managing resocialization cases, providing consultations and organizing resocialization, social rehabilitation and family bonding activities; Prepare and maintain documentation related to convicted persons' sentence execution, regime changes, conditional early release, pardons, commendations, disciplinary sanctions, reviews and information entry into the Prisoner Information System; Participate in assessment of convicted persons and represent the institution by preparing opinions and information, participating in commissions, inter-institutional meetings and, if necessary, representing the correctional facility in court; Ensure supervision of convicted persons and compliance with internal regulations by conducting preventive and control measures, monitoring resocialization activities, escorting prisoners, participating in searches and headcounts; Cooperate with correctional facility structural units and external institutions, provide suggestions for improving work and resocialization processes, inform convicted persons of their rights and obligations and promote provision of a safe and effective resocialization environment.
