Lead Procurement Specialist in the Public Procurement Department
Requirements for candidates:
- Higher education (bachelor's degree) or at least first-level professional higher education in one of the following educational fields: law, business and administration, social and human sciences (education program group – economics);
- Desired work experience related to the implementation of public procurement procedures;
- Desired understanding and knowledge of public procurement policies and their procedures, as well as standard legal documents related to procurement and related processes;
- Desired general knowledge of the legal systems of the Republic of Latvia, the European Union, and international law;
- Required proficiency in MS Office, email, and internet browser usage.
Main job duties:
- Participate in the development of internal procurement procedures and work of the procurement commission;
- Ensure preparation of documentation necessary for procurement organization;
- Participate in the development of contract drafts;
- Participate in the work of the procurement commission as a procurement commission member;
- Provide consultations to persons involved in procurement procedures regarding the application of regulations governing public procurement;
- Prepare general agreements and contracts to be concluded based on the results of public procurement procedures organized by other institutions;
- Verify compliance of any documents related to the conclusion, modification, or termination of commercial contracts with the regulations governing public procurement.
