Our caretaker unit within the Culture, Recreation, and Youth Department is responsible for the operation and maintenance of sports facilities, exercise trails, and bathing areas. 2 position(s). JOB RESPONSIBILITIES In the role of sports facility caretaker, you will become part of our caretaker unit, which is responsible for the municipality's sports facilities. The unit's mission is to provide excellent service to all who conduct activities in our facilities. The job tasks include operation, care, and maintenance of the facilities we are responsible for. The position also involves operating vehicles and machinery, such as ice-making machines and tractors, as well as performing repairs and maintenance of equipment and materials. An important part is also to create and maintain good relationships with those who use the facilities. The positions are placed within the North/South caretaker unit and include work in ice rinks, sports halls, and artificial turf fields. As needed, you may also work at other facilities within our operations. We offer hourly positions as needed with start date in fall or by agreement. The work involves evening and weekend hours. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for you who have: • Secondary education diploma • Class B driver's license It is meritorious if you have: • Class C driver's license • Tractor experience • Experience working with sports facilities or community activities • Interest in sports and community activities As a person, you are service-oriented, able to work independently, and take responsibility. You are helpful and comfortable with varying tasks and different work environments. Ideally, you are practical with aptitude for repairs and maintenance. Employment Type: Fixed-term employment.
