Sports Facility Supervisor at Gavlehov and Sports Arenas

We are now seeking a sports facility supervisor for our facilities within Gavlehov and the sports arenas, starting December 1, 2026! 1 position(s). WORK DUTIES Do you want to be part of the sports association community and are drawn to varied work? Come and help make Gävle the center of sports together with us! With us, you will meet many children and young people who are active in sports associations, and you will have an important role in creating safe and positive experiences for them. As a sports facility supervisor, you are responsible for the operation, maintenance, and care of the municipality's sports and leisure facilities. The work includes, among other things: • Responsibility for operation and maintenance of sports halls, grass fields, gravel fields, artificial grass pitches, track and field arenas, and ice rinks. • Performing facility-related services, including interior and exterior maintenance as well as cleaning of premises, such as cleaning toilets and floors. • Carrying out minor repairs to premises, equipment, and facilities. • Performing service and basic maintenance on the facility's machinery in collaboration with the vehicle coordinator. • Preparing and setting up booked premises, halls, and sports fields together with colleagues. • Working in a service-oriented manner with technical and practical tasks where problem-solving is an important part. • You work at several of our facilities within Gavlehov and the sports arenas, which means you need to be flexible and appreciate variety in your daily work. • Managing technology related to events and operations, such as sound, lighting, and audiovisual equipment. This is particularly important at facilities like Gavlehov, where digital technology is a central part of both operations and events. • Scheduled work including evenings and weekends, as well as some administrative work in our management systems. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone who has: • Completed upper secondary education, preferably in a technical or practical field. • Previous experience working as a custodian, facility manager, groundskeeper, or equivalent as determined by the employer. • A category B driver's license (manual transmission). • Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written, as the role involves daily contact with visitors, associations, and colleagues. It is meritorious if you have: • Good computer skills, as we program sound and lighting via computers and also operate our TV screens. • Worked with sports associations. • Experience operating tractors, ice machines, and ride-on mowers. • Experience working as a sports facility supervisor and maintaining natural grass and artificial grass fields. • Experience with ice maintenance.
