Job Responsibilities
Are you interested in fitness and physical activity? Are you driven by inspiring and encouraging others to exercise? Then you might be the sports worker we are looking for!
Angered Arena has a swimming pool, gym, group fitness classes, activity center, ice rink, sports hall, and outdoor sports facility. The facility stands for innovation and the goal is to encourage physical activity, contribute to improved public health, and foster a rich community life. One of our most important goals is improved public health in Angered and to reach those who do not currently visit us.
You will be based at Angered Arena. In your role, you will work in the gym where you provide fitness instruction, lead group fitness classes, and staff the gym. The assignment also includes outreach work primarily in the northeast, but may also include work at other facilities in the city and with external partners. You will meet residents at various meeting places with the goal of encouraging physical activity, safety, and community. You will collaborate with external partners, visit schools, staff outdoor gyms, and participate in various holiday activities to reach and inspire as many people as possible.
As a sports worker, you will work together with your colleagues to create an attractive and welcoming operation at the facility. Customer service is a priority, and an important task is to be a host for our visitors. You will ensure that our facility rules are followed so that everyone has a pleasant visit with us. The job duties also include cleaning the various spaces. To be successful in your role, you have a positive attitude and a natural sense of service. We expect that you have good computer skills and can navigate various IT systems.
Qualifications
You must have completed upper secondary education. You must also be a certified gym and group fitness instructor. It is advantageous to have experience leading choreographed classes such as dance, aerobics, or step, as well as gym instruction experience. Additionally, you have experience meeting people from diverse backgrounds in a fitness and physical activity environment. You have experience and strong knowledge in service work and understand the importance of maintaining a very high service level. Experience and knowledge in health promotion is advantageous.
