Right now, the Swedish Armed Forces are growing, developing, and expanding. The Swedish Armed Forces are an important part of our democratic society and guarantee that we can live our lives in peace and freedom. Norrbotten Regiment, I19, is one of Sweden's largest regiments. I19 is tasked with producing combat units for the Norrbotten Brigade. The Brigade's units are specialized in combat in subarctic environments. I19 is the lock in the North. At I 19, Norrbotten Armored Battalion is responsible for daily training and production of two armored battalions within the Norrbotten Brigade, with assault combat in subarctic environments as the main capability. The battalions include the latest variants of Combat Vehicle 90 and Main Battle Tank 122. FLF FIN (Forward Land Forces Finland) Norrbotten Brigade - NmekB 19 is now recruiting soldiers who will primarily work and serve with a unit within the multinational force for FLF Finland. The offer includes employment at NmekB 19 and Boden Garrison where you can be part of a historic mission for the Garrison, the Norrbotten Brigade, the Swedish Armed Forces, and Sweden within the framework of NATO. Current planning indicates that the main part of the force contribution will be stationed in Boden and conduct operations within the framework of NmekB 19 and FLF FIN in both Sweden and Finland. Operations will include exercises, training, education, and readiness in both Sweden and Finland Qualifications REQUIREMENTS Completed basic military training with passing grades. Possess knowledge and competence for the sought position obtained from basic training or GSS employment Personal Qualities We are looking for someone who is responsible and a task-focused team player. You should also be stress-resilient and have the will to do your best in all situations. We place great importance on your personal qualities. MERITS Class B driver's license, manual transmission Compensation The Swedish Armed Forces apply individual salary setting. The Battalion Battle Group is in continuous operational readiness 1–3 days during the readiness period. For operational readiness, you will receive 5500kr/month. For all those directly subordinate to NATO, an additional salary increase of 5500kr/month is provided during the readiness period. You are expected to complete approximately 35–40 armed forces days per six-month period, with the majority conducted in Finland. You will be offered free accommodation of lodging standard. You will be offered free meals with fringe benefit value. Duty allowance is paid to individuals in operational readiness service Other Information Employment Type: GSS/K (group leader, soldier, sailor in continuous service). Means that your job in the Swedish Armed Forces is your primary occupation. Employment contract for 6 years. Trial Period: The Swedish Armed Forces apply a six-month trial period for those not employed by the authority. Current Work Location: Boden Position: Military War Assignment: The employment means you will be war assigned to I 19, to the combat unit you are employed with. Working Hours: Primarily daytime 07:30-16:30, but evenings, weekends, operational readiness, and armed forces days occur. All candidates for the position must undergo physical tests and security vetting interviews. Test dates are scheduled at I 19 between weeks 643 and 645. Selection is ongoing and therefore notification will be sent close to the test date.
