Hydraulic Engineer – develop machines that are actually used There are design jobs where you draw and then there are jobs where you see your solutions built, tested and used in reality. At Scandinavian Pale Driving, you do the latter. We build machines for drilling, piling and foundation work. Heavy, specialized and often completely custom-tailored solutions. Here it's not enough for something to work in CAD – it must work in the clay, in the cold and under real load. We're involved every step of the way: from the first sketch to the finished machine in operation. And that's exactly where we think you thrive. About the role As a hydraulic engineer with us, you work on real product development. You're not a cog in a large machine, you're an important part of the whole. Projects vary in both size and duration, from quick improvements to longer development projects. What they have in common is that you're involved throughout the entire chain. You will: develop new machines, features and accessories improve and further develop existing designs work with everything from concepts and dimensioning to finished solutions follow your designs all the way into production and beyond You work closely with: other engineers the workshop service This means you get quick feedback on your solutions and can adjust, improve and optimize. The team currently consists of six engineers. Decision-making paths are short, and ideas don't stay on paper. Who we think you are You're an engineer who wants more than just delivering drawings. You're probably curious, self-driven and solution-oriented but also unpretentious enough to test, change and improve. And you don't mind going out to the workshop to see if what you've drawn actually holds up. You want to: understand how things work in reality solve problems that don't have given answers take responsibility for your solutions all the way We believe you have: engineering education in mechanical engineering or hydraulics experience with hydraulic-driven systems or mobile machines familiarity with design, calculation and drafting or similar experience within hydraulics If you've worked in HyDraw, Plus+1 or similar, that's a merit. But the most important thing is not exactly which systems you know but that you have a practical understanding of machines. It shows in how you design. You might: have done a lot of tinkering yourself as a service technician built your own projects or worked close to production/workshop Extra plus: experience with heavy/mobile machines knowledge of mechanics familiarity with CE documentation experience with ERP systems (e.g. Monitor) You also need to be fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
