Job Description Do you have a great interest in dogs and want to combine it with an important societal mission where you have the opportunity to make a real difference? We at Securitas are now looking for you to take on the role of dog handler in Uppsala. Here you will become part of a close-knit team with both two- and four-legged colleagues. As a security guard with a patrol dog, you work to protect property, buildings and premises against, among other things, fire, theft and damage. The work takes place primarily at industries, offices and workshops as well as their surrounding areas. An important part of the work is also to document and report completed operations to our customers in our digital systems. As a dog handler, you work together with your patrol dog, where the dog's senses become an important enhancement to the security work. The dog can, for example, alert you to people or events in the surroundings that would otherwise be difficult to detect. Together you form a team where cooperation, trust and the ability to read each other are crucial. The patrol dog is also trained to protect you as a handler if a threatening situation should arise. The role involves independent and autonomous work, but also great responsibility. With us, you have the opportunity for regular dog training with our dog unit and instructor. As a dog handler, you also complete an annual function test for the Police Authority. In the longer term, there may also be opportunities for further development within EDD/NDD. No two nights are the same. You work both indoors and outdoors and serve exclusively at night. Work shifts are typically around 12 hours. Since our operations run 24/7, 365 days a year, weekend work is also included. The position follows a 5:2 schedule. As an employee at our office in Uppsala, you will become part of a close-knit group of around 60 colleagues. The role is primarily focused on patrol security where you and your dog, together with the rest of the team, contribute to making Uppsala safer every day. We are security. We are Securitas. Requirements Experience working night shifts Passed grade in Swedish from the first year of upper secondary school B-level driver's license Meritorious if you: Have a trained and certified dog-handler team Have dog handler training Have a valid security guard training certificate If you have started your journey to becoming a dog handler but haven't quite reached the finish line, you are also welcome to apply!
