Background
The HR Department at Umeå University is a central personnel function tasked with driving, coordinating, and supporting the development of employer policies and personnel processes. Through our support to management, supervisors, and employees, we contribute to making Umeå University an attractive employer with a successful operation.
The department is divided into five operational areas: Payroll Administration, HR Support to Administration, Work Environment and Equal Conditions, Competency Supply and Leadership Development, and Employer Relations (wage formation, labor law, negotiations, and restructuring). The department has a total of 36 employees.
We now need temporary reinforcement in the Employer Relations group. Do you have experience in qualified HR work and would find it interesting to contribute your expertise for 11 months to Umeå University's work on labor law matters? Then this could be for you!
Duties
You will work in the Employer Relations operational area, where you will participate in restructuring, disputes, and collective bargaining negotiations, as well as contribute to a coordinated approach regarding interpretation and application of laws, agreements, and regulations within the labor law field. An important part of the role is supporting our managers in restructuring processes. The work requires close collaboration with various internal and external stakeholders, such as trade union organizations.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who has:
a university degree of at least 3 years in HR, Law, or another equivalent qualification
several years of relevant and current experience with qualified and strategic HR work in an operational support role from a larger/complex organization
good knowledge in the labor law field with current experience in contract, terms, and negotiation matters within public sector operations
good ability to communicate both verbally and in writing in Swedish and English.
Current work experience from restructuring processes is considered a merit.

The position is a fixed-term full-time employment for 11 months with start date by agreement.
