About Us
Industritekniska Gymnasiet Bergslagen AB is part of Teknobildning AB, a growing school group consisting of five schools in Västerås, Ludvika, and Forsmark. The group has approximately 100 employees distributed across the following schools:
Hitachigymnasiet, Västerås – upper secondary school
Hitachigymnasiet, Ludvika – upper secondary school
Mälardalen International School – international IB school, grades F–9
Vattenfallgymnasiet – upper secondary school
Centuriaskolan – grades 7–9
We work to provide our students with high-quality education in safe, professional, and development-oriented learning environments. To continue strengthening our efforts, we are now seeking an HR Specialist who wants to help develop our group further.
About the Role
As an HR Specialist with us, you will have a central role in ensuring that the group has effective, legally sound, and sustainable HR processes. You will work closely with group management, school principals, and staff, and serve as a key person in matters relating to personnel, workplace environment, and workforce planning.
The position combines both operational and strategic HR work in an organization with a strong focus on quality, safety, and development.
Your Main Areas of Responsibility
Strategic HR Work
Develop and implement the group's HR strategy.
Support school leadership in workforce planning and organizational development.
Monitor legislation and school-related HR matters.
Recruitment and Staffing
Manage the entire recruitment process for all personnel.
Ensure that recruitment follows school laws, regulations, and agreements.
Develop onboarding and offboarding procedures.
Workplace Environment and Employment Law
Drive and develop systematic workplace environment initiatives.
Provide support on employment law matters, rehabilitation, and case management.
Manage cooperation with labor unions and MBL processes.
Competence and Leadership Development
Map competency needs and plan internal training initiatives.
Support principals and managers in their leadership roles.
Mentor employees and teams.
Policies, Procedures, and Quality Assurance
Draft, implement, and follow up on HR policies and procedures.
Ensure proper documentation and regulatory compliance.
Salary and Administration
Collaborate with the payroll function.
Support managers on matters concerning compensation and agreements.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone with post-secondary education in HR or equivalent, plus experience in qualified HR work. You need strong knowledge of employment law, collective agreements, and relevant regulations.
Personal Qualities
We place great emphasis on your personal qualities. You must have high integrity and be comfortable handling confidential information. You are communicative and pedagogical, and experienced in supporting managers and employees. We see that you are organized and solution-oriented with a focus on building good relationships.
You will report to the group's CEO and work in close collaboration with principals and school administrators across the entire group.
