Workplace Description The Department of Laboratory Medicine (ILM) is one of six departments at the Faculty of Medicine. We conduct leading research in the field of laboratory medicine with a focus on understanding disease development and improving diagnostics and treatment for patients. Some of our strongest research areas, with world-class operations, are cancer, genetics, and blood research. The department has approximately 300 employees and an annual turnover of around 500 million kronor. ILM has an office consisting of 14 employees: an administrative coordinator, two HR partners, an HR administrator, seven economists and two economics administrators, led by an administrative director. The office's main task is to support the core operations and enable research and education of high quality. The office is responsible for ensuring that the university meets both external requirements and laws as well as internal rules and guidelines. Work is conducted with a focus on using resources efficiently based on operational needs and available funds. Read more on the university's website about working with us. Tasks and Responsibilities As our HR partner, you will become part of our engaged and competent HR team. You will work closely with our other HR colleagues while independently managing various HR matters in the role of HR generalist. In this position, you will provide qualified support to managers and employees across the entire HR field. You function as a natural collaborator on HR matters and contribute both advisory and operational support. Interpretation and application of laws, agreements, and regulations form an important part of the work. Examples of HR areas included in the role are: - Recruitment - Work environment and rehabilitation - MBL negotiations - Operational changes and restructuring - Salary reviews - Vacation and leave matters We are looking for someone with experience in broad HR work who enjoys a role where you can combine advisory services, collaboration, and independent responsibility. You have a strong ability to build trusting relationships and to provide support in both strategic and operational HR matters. Beyond the above tasks, additional HR-related work and some general administration may occur. Qualifications Requirements for employment are: - University or higher education degree in personnel and labor market issues (PA) or other academic education that the employer considers equivalent. - Several years of experience in qualified HR work in multiple areas such as: labor law, recruitment and skills provision, work environment and rehabilitation, cooperation/MBL, and wage formation. - Experience providing qualified management support on HR matters. - Good knowledge of labor law, collective agreements, and associated regulations. - Very good administrative skills and a structured work approach. - Good collaboration skills and ability to build trusting relationships. - Ability to work independently, take responsibility for your own matters, and deliver results within given timeframes. - Very good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in both Swedish and English, as the department operates in an international environment. - Good digital competence and experience working in administrative systems, with the ability to quickly learn new digital tools, including using AI-based tools to support your work. Meritorious for employment are: - Experience with HR work in the university and higher education sector or other government agency. - Experience working with government collective agreements. - Experience collaborating with employee organizations and participating in MBL negotiations. - Experience with operational changes, restructuring, or organizational development. - Experience with work environment initiatives and rehabilitation matters in complex operations. - Experience supporting managers in complex HR matters. - Experience working in Lund University's HR systems, such as Primula, Varbi, Adato, and W3D3 or equivalent systems. Other Information The employment is permanent with a scope of 100 percent with start as soon as possible or by agreement. A probationary period of 6 months may apply.
