As HR Director, you have overall responsibility for personnel matters and serve as a culture and values bearer in the university's knowledge-intensive and collegially based operations. You lead and further develop both strategic and operational HR work, with a focus on sustainable skills provision, good working conditions and professional employer responsibility. You develop support for managers throughout the organization and work closely with the rector and KTH's five school directors who lead the university's education and research activities. An important part is contributing to good cooperation with the trade union organizations.
As head of the personnel department, we are looking for an experienced, confident and inspiring leader with the ability to develop the department. You have six group managers to assist you, who together lead just over 100 dedicated employees within the personnel department. You report to the University Director and are part of the University Director's management council together with other department heads within business support.
With a holistic perspective, you take initiative, set direction and translate visions and goals into concrete results. You see digitalization as a tool for business development and as a natural and integrated part of HR work processes.
Qualifications
Requirements
Academic education in personnel management or other education that the employer deems relevant
Substantial knowledge of labor law and employment protection legislation, as well as experience of negotiations and joint labor-management cooperation
Several years of management experience with personnel responsibility
Experience in qualified management support and management development
Several years of experience in qualified and strategic development work, where you have supported a complex organization
Very good communication skills
Very good knowledge of Swedish and English in speech and writing as both languages are required in daily work

To succeed in the role as HR Director, you are a present, confident and courageous leader with a structured working approach and high integrity. You have the ability to create trust, engagement and work satisfaction and practice trust-based leadership. With an analytical approach and a clear holistic perspective, you enjoy collaborating and cooperating with different functions and levels in the organization. You have an understanding of the university's collegial working methods and the conditions for conducting education and research of the highest quality.
You are clear as a leader and have the ability to explain, anchor and create understanding even in complex matters.
Meritorious
Experience from HR work at a university or college
Experience from HR work at a government agency or other public sector organization
Experience with responsibility for IT systems and digitalization processes
Experience as a manager leading other managers
