Welcome to a unique gastronomic destination in the heart of Stockholm. We are seeking a passionate and committed Head Waiter who wants to be part of driving our operations at Stadshuskällaren. With our signature "In the forest in the city," we create culinary experiences inspired by Swedish nature, while carrying forward a historic tradition of serving all Nobel Prize Banquets since 1901. Here, gastronomy and history come together in an environment where every guest experience becomes unique. We are a small, tight-knit team that creates magic for our guests together – from à la carte lunch and dinner to celebration menus in our beautiful Linnésal. We are now looking for you to be our head waiter and be part of our journey forward. About the role: As Head Waiter with us, you play a central role in the operation and work both strategically and operatively. You are passionate about service, food and beverage, and you have a natural ability to tell stories that capture guests' interest – our venue and the Nobel tradition are a treasure to share. Who are you? You have solid experience working in fine dining and have previously held a leadership role in the dining room. You are organized, flexible, and have an eye for detail. Your passion for service shows in everything you do, and you know how to make both guests and colleagues feel special. If you have sommelier training, that is a plus. Responsibilities: Daily operations: The Head Waiter is responsible for ensuring smooth service flow, coordinating service, and ensuring all guests receive a first-class experience. You work daily in operations but also have responsibility for some administrative tasks. Leadership: As head waiter, you lead the service staff, participate in training and development, and serve as a role model in the service culture. Guest interaction: You are the first and last person guests meet. Welcoming, seating, and bidding farewell to guests in a warm and professional manner is one of your most important tasks. Flexibility and problem-solving: The ability to quickly understand and respond to different situations. Handling complaints and solving problems with a smile is essential in this role. About the position: Work hours Since our restaurant is open both days and evenings and sometimes every day of the week, we are looking for someone who can work flexibly. Both daytime and evening hours, weekdays and weekends according to schedule. Employment This position is a permanent role (80–100% by agreement) with a 6-month probationary period. We are affiliated with Visita and have a collective agreement, HRF/Unionen.
