About the Workplace
The position is located in the department for premises supply, records and archives, and procurement and purchasing. The department is part of the Swedish Armed Forces University College's operational support and coordinates the college's support and service functions within the department's area of responsibility.
Placement is in Stockholm; business trips may occur. You report directly to the department head.
Work Tasks
As a university legal counsel, you provide qualified legal support to the college management and operations on administrative and university legal matters. You also work on developing and advancing governing and supporting documents and participate in internal information and training initiatives.
The role also includes coordinating and supporting classification reviews in connection with the disclosure of public records. You review non-commercial agreements and personal data processing agreements, handle matters related to the personnel review board, and work with other university legal issues. Examples of work tasks include:
reviewing agreements, such as agreements between educational institutions, research agreements, and data processor agreements
providing legal advice and expert support to operations with a focus on administrative and university law
handling matters concerning the disclosure of public records under the Freedom of the Press Act and the Public Access to Information and Secrecy Act
answering requests for referral and handling supervisory matters
participating in work to develop and enhance the college's governing documents, internal rules, and policies
participating in training, seminars, and information meetings on applicable regulations and their application
conduct internal information and training initiatives on legal matters

Who Are We Looking For?
We are looking for someone with a Swedish law degree and at least three years of experience in qualified and independent legal work within the state. You have good experience with administrative law matters and work with public access to information and secrecy legislation. It is a merit to have experience in legal work at a university or college and if you have knowledge of the Data Protection Regulation, NIS 2, and AI-related legal matters.

The role involves many internal and external contact points and therefore requires good collaboration skills, clarity, and pedagogical ability. You can explain legal matters in a simple, professional, and trustworthy manner, even to people without a legal background. You work in a structured, independent, and legally sound manner, even when the pace is fast and the workload varies.
You contribute to a good work environment and value collaboration, service, and responsibility. Excellent ability to express yourself orally and in writing in Swedish and English is a requirement. We place great emphasis on personal qualities.
About the Employment
This is a permanent full-time position that begins with a six-month probationary period.
Employment at the Swedish Armed Forces University College will involve a security vetting for placement in a security classification, which includes record checks and in some cases security interviews with the Swedish Security Service.
The employment may include war placement. If you are already war-placed in your current employment at an authority and your expertise is needed in the Swedish Armed Forces University College's war organization, negotiations will take place between the relevant authority and the Swedish Armed Forces University College regarding your placement.
