In Fall 2019, Franklins Gymnasium opened in Mölndal. The school has a focus on Life Science in collaboration with AstraZeneca. Franklins Gymnasium has a clear research connection and the aim is to prepare students for higher education in the best possible way. The school offers the Natural Sciences Program and the Technology Program with the goal of becoming one of Sweden's leading upper secondary schools. 1 position(s). JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Would you like to be part of a top-tier school? Become a full-time mentor at Franklins Gymnasium! As a mentor at Franklins Gymnasium, you work closely with colleagues and guardians to give students the best possible conditions for learning, development, and safety. You will be part of the student welfare team and actively participate in preventive and health-promoting student welfare work. Beyond daily contact with the school's students, your mentoring role also includes continuous parental contact, conducting development conversations, and participating in parent meetings. You will also be responsible for scheduled mentor hours, which include motivational initiatives such as goal-setting, study techniques, and study planning. As a mentor, you are responsible for monitoring and communicating your students' attendance, academic progress, and overall study situation. The assignment means you are available to students during the school's non-lesson times, such as at the beginning and end of the school day and during breaks. You also participate during lessons when your students need your support. Mentoring work and student welfare work are carried out according to an annual plan in which you help shape the content together with colleagues. As a mentor, you have a very important role during your students' upper secondary school years! QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for you with relevant higher education. Experience working with young people is a merit. You are confident, relationship-building, organized, and have a genuine interest in young people and their development. You see it as obvious to collaborate with various professions and individuals.
