In this role, you will become part of the Children and Education Sector. With us, children and young people's development is the focus. We are a middle school for grades 7-9 with approximately 500 students and we currently have just over 60 employees working at the school. The school has an implemented operations and development organization that, together with school leadership, educators, student welfare, resource teams, and administration, meets the challenges we face in operational and strategic work. Our 6 senior teachers lead work on our prioritized development areas including language and knowledge-developing work methods, mathematics, and study environment and attendance. Helenaskolan has a student welfare team consisting of a counselor, school nurse, career counselor, special education teacher, specialist teacher, psychologist, and speech-language pathologist as well as school leadership. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Teacher in mathematics, natural sciences, and technology. The position includes mentoring; we place great emphasis on collaboration and you will be part of a work team that focuses on students' both subject-specific and personal development. Additionally, you support students throughout their entire school day with a focus on high attendance and upper secondary eligibility. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for you who are certified teacher in mathematics, natural sciences, and technology. We consider it an advantage if you have multiple subject competencies and have worked in the school world for a couple of years, as well as if you have previously worked in co-teaching in the classroom, as this is a working method we may want to develop further. Experience working with special education within mathematics is also an advantage. You should have good computer skills, be open to new work methods, and be able to work with individualized as well as collegial approaches. As an educator, you have good structure in your work and systematically evaluate your teaching. You are also expected to create motivation and curiosity in students through a positive and trusting humanistic view. You have high expectations for results and development at both group and individual levels and support each student in their development. You are responsible and have good collaboration skills as well as create conditions for participation among students, staff, and guardians. Employment type: Permanent employment. The certificate is valid for one year and can be ordered from the Swedish Police Authority www.polisen.se.
