About the Position Excillum designs, develops, and manufactures X-ray light sources used for quality assurance in semiconductor, electronics, and battery manufacturing, among other applications. Other uses include development of new pharmaceuticals and research in areas such as biology, medicine, and materials science. Today, customers are located in Europe, Asia, and the USA. The team you'll lead currently consists of 11 senior employees in mechanical and electronics design as well as industrialization. The group's main responsibility is hardware design and industrialization of products, where you'll lead the team and work in that area. The role also involves close collaboration with other leaders, decision-makers, and teams in software, research, production, and product management to create alignment around hardware development. You'll report to the COO and are also part of the management group for R&D, Supply Chain, and Service. Excillum has its headquarters in Kista with both labs and production in-house, which means you'll work close to the products being developed. Words from Your Future Immediate Manager "Hi! Responsibilities You'll work in a broad role with responsibility for both leading and developing individuals and the team's work as a whole. You will, for example… Take responsibility for planning, prioritizing, and following up on hardware development and industrialization activities, including resource allocation, schedules, and status reporting to the management group and other R&D teams. Lead and strengthen collaboration between hardware development, software teams, research, production, supply chain, quality, and external key suppliers to ensure efficient product development and industrialization. Establish and follow up on the team's quarterly goals to ensure that work is linked to business goals and strategic priorities. Facilitate retrospectives and lessons learned and translate insights into improved working methods and processes. Identify bottlenecks and inefficient workflows in product development and industrialization and initiate improvement measures. Develop the team's working methods, processes, and operational capability with a focus on lean, standardization, and long-term improvement of the organization's delivery capability. Participate in and partially lead projects and activities within the line organization.
