About the Position
Do you want to help develop our digital department for stable growth and lead the development of an IT organization in strong expansion? Blåkläder is continuing its international expansion and is now strengthening its digital department and IT leadership by recruiting a Head of Application Development. This is a central role for someone who wants to combine leadership, business understanding, and technology in an organization with high ambitions and short decision-making paths. You will have the opportunity to help translate needs and ideas into sustainable technical solutions together with the team.
About the Role
As Head of Application Development, you have overall responsibility for Blåkläder's system development function and play an important role in the company's continued development journey. You will lead a team of system developers and business support, while working closely with both the business and other parts of the IT organization to ensure that systems, processes, and competencies meet the business needs both today and in the future.
The assignment is largely about developing the organization and creating the right conditions for future growth. You are responsible for building and developing the team, creating a long-term strategy for competence supply, and ensuring a well-balanced combination of internal resources, consultants, and partners. At the same time, you are expected to be close to the business, understand the company's challenges, and contribute to translating needs and ideas into sustainable technical solutions.
Blåkläder is undergoing a transformation where IT and digital tools should increasingly be organized based on the business's value flows and digitalization needs. In this development, you will play an important role by driving change, creating structure, and contributing to a way of working where we create stability in how we deliver our digital solutions with the structure required for a robust digital platform for the business to operate on—where technology and business collaborate even more closely.
The position is based at the head office in Svenljunga. You report to the CIO and are part of IT management.
Who Are You?
We are looking for someone with experience leading system development operations or related IT organizations with budget responsibility and who thrives in environments where change and development are a natural part of everyday work. You have a good understanding of system development and technology while being driven to develop people, build functioning teams, and create conditions for high delivery capability.
You likely have experience collaborating with multiple different vendors on different technical platforms, consultants, or partners and feel comfortable in the dialogue between business and IT. If you have also worked in operations with multiple sales channels, for example in retail or e-commerce (B2B and/or DTC), that is a merit.
As a leader, you are confident, unpretentious, and clear. You have the ability to create engagement, build trust, and make decisions even when circumstances change. At the same time, you are pragmatic and solution-oriented with a willingness to contribute yourself when needed.
