At Vreta Education Center, the Natural Resources Program offers specializations in agriculture, horse management, and forestry, as well as the Vehicle and Transport Program's transport specialization for professional drivers and the nationally recruiting transport specialization for vehicle recovery operators. National Sports Education (NIU) is offered within equestrian sports (dressage or jumping). Vocational adult education and vocational higher education programs are available in agriculture, horse management, and forestry. Adapted upper secondary school offers the national program Forest, Land, and Animals. Job Description We are looking for an equestrian instructor/jump coach in riding who can manage Vreta's horses, stables, and facilities. You will conduct training sessions for our students taking NIU jumping. You will also, in collaboration with the horse education staff, conduct instruction in the horse education's vocational courses. You will be part of the horse education work team and participate actively in the team's development work and should therefore be able to work well with others, listen, and communicate. You will also participate in workplace meetings, staff meetings, and professional development. You will actively work toward the school's values and, through collaboration with other school staff, contribute to an interdisciplinary approach. Work Group You will organizationally belong to the horse unit where we have four stable instructors, six vocational horse teachers, two special education teachers, one mentor, and one student assistant. About You Great emphasis is placed on you fitting in and being able to work in our team. The position in horse education requires you to be flexible, able to work well with others, listen, understand, and set a good example. Furthermore, great weight will be given to personal suitability for performing the work tasks described above. This means you enjoy meeting young people at different levels and can lead, coach, engage, and motivate them to want to develop within your subject area. You have the ability to lead groups and individuals and the ability to convey knowledge. You enjoy working with young people, which means you are outgoing and socially active, enjoy making contacts and maintaining relationships. You must be able to communicate clearly, ensure that messages get across, and that expectations are clear to all involved parties. It's also important that you can plan, organize, and prioritize work efficiently and set and maintain timelines. In order to help all students, it's also important that you remain calm, stable, and composed in stressful situations. You should be able to make quick decisions in various work situations with students, take own initiative, and achieve good results. You should be creative and able to come up with new ideas to increase the quality of education. Requirements: Certified Level II riding instructor. It is advantageous if you are a licensed Swedish Riding Instructor at least Level III or a B-trainer. You have teaching experience, several years of experience from the equestrian industry, and broad experience within various professional areas of horse management. It is advantageous if you have experience with arena and ground maintenance. Requirements: B driving license; advantageous: BE driving license. Advantageous: own competition experience in jumping at least 1.30 m level. Application and Employment This is a temporary position through August 31, 2027.
