Polyamp specializes in power supply products and systems for protecting ships from magnetic mines. We have in-house development and manufacturing of AC/DC and DC/DC converters. Our specialty is high-reliability voltage converters for use in harsh environments. Polyamp specializes in the design and manufacturing of mine protection systems for Swedish and international naval forces. We also manufacture sensors for measuring electrical fields underwater, with both civil and marine military applications. This gives us unique expertise in modeling, measurement tools, and underwater signatures. About the Role Professionals Nord is recruiting in collaboration with Polyamp (https://www.polyamp.se/om-oss) an Electronics Design Engineer who wants to work with the future of switched power electronics, where your solutions become reality in products used in civil and marine military applications. Polyamp (https://www.polyamp.se/om-oss) specializes in designing and manufacturing mine protection systems for Swedish and international naval forces. Polyamp (https://www.polyamp.se/om-oss) also manufactures sensors for measuring electrical fields underwater with both civil and marine military applications. You will be a central part of the development work and will primarily work on-site in Åtvidaberg, where proximity to colleagues and collaboration are important parts of daily life. The recruitment process is handled by Professionals Nord and inquiries regarding the position should be directed to [email protected] (mailto:[email protected]) What We Offer A key role in a technology-driven company where you have significant influence over solutions and decisions Opportunity to work close to development, production, and customer – from idea to finished product A stable employer with high technical standards, low staff turnover, and strong team spirit Secure terms with competitive salary, flexible working hours, and good benefits Your Responsibilities Develop AC/DC and DC/DC solutions focusing on isolated topologies – robust, efficient, and reliable Perform PCB layout with focus on low EMI, high efficiency, electrical safety, and thermal management Conduct verification: develop series tests and efficiency measurements to ensure functionality Drive design reviews and support production, ensuring solutions can be manufactured and function in practice Own the entire process: requirements, prototype, testing, delivery, and improvements What We're Looking For At least 5 years of experience in electronics design Good understanding of modern semiconductors (SiC/GaN) and their layout requirements Experience with embedded systems, preferably with PIC microcontrollers for control and protection functions Familiarity with lab testing (oscilloscope, network analyzer, electronic loads) Experience with PCB CAD (e.g., Altium, OrCAD) Very good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written Meriting qualifications include experience with digital control (MCU/DSP), industry-specific standards (IEC, UL), and knowledge of DFM/DFT, production testing, and simulation (LTspice/PSPICE).
