The Swedish Armed Forces' Telecommunications and Information Systems Unit (FMTIS) has collective responsibility for operating, maintaining, and managing command support systems in the Swedish Armed Forces. FMTIS operates continuously in peace, crisis, and war, which means the unit is constantly engaged both nationally and internationally. The unit has more than 1,800 employees spread across over 30 locations throughout the country. We are seeking a Security-Protected Procurement Handler and Assistant Signal Security Chief for FMTIS Implementation Unit South You will be part of Implementation Unit South staff (GE Syd) with placement in Karlskrona. GE Syd conducts operations that ensure the Swedish Armed Forces' ability to communicate and command 24/7, year-round. The unit consists of approximately 190 employees distributed across 7 departments at 6 locations within the Southern Military Region (MR S) area. Main duties In accordance with regulatory requirements, FMTIS shall conduct security clearance interviews for consultants. New hires and periodic reviews shall also include security clearance interviews. Lead, plan, and conduct security clearance interviews within the unit. Administer and document matters concerning security clearance interviews, registry checks, and confidentiality certificates. Participate in the unit's work with governing documents and security documentation, and also participate in various other security-related projects. Be prepared to support other units with security clearance interviews. Handle signal security matters on behalf of the unit chief and assist the FMTIS signal security chief within a defined area of responsibility and/or location. Assist the unit chief in establishing/revising local signal security organizations and signal security instructions. Coordinate signal security services within the garrison and within FMTIS at the location where appropriate/possible. Card administration (TAK and A-cert) + (TEID, B-, and C-cert) Signal security training, theory and in some cases system training. Administration and ordering of the unit's signal security keys in KapL. Internal audits of own operations. Handle signal security incidents at the unit. Responsible for inventory of the unit's signal security materials in accordance with applicable regulations. Support internal audits of signal security at other FMTIS units. Your task is to ensure that the unit handles matters within security protection where the authority is obligated to follow the Security Protection Act, the security regulations, and the Swedish Armed Forces' regulations. REQUIREMENTS Qualifications At least three years of upper secondary education. Good knowledge of English and Swedish, both spoken and written. For this position, good knowledge of Windows environment (PC proficiency). Category B driver's license. MERITORIOUS FACTORS Previous service in a security position in the Swedish Armed Forces, or other equivalent government activities involving security clearance duties. Basic military training. Experience from government work. University or college education with a focus on behavioral sciences. Other information Permanent employment as a civilian employee, beginning with a 6-month probationary period for those not already employed by the Swedish Armed Forces.
