We are now seeking an LSS case handler for our LSS unit, which currently consists of 15 case handlers, 1 senior LSS case handler, and a unit manager. Within the LSS unit, we work with public authority functions with a focus on handling cases under the Act on Support and Services for Persons with Certain Disabilities (LSS) and the Social Services Act (SoL). There is a clear mandate within the department to develop case handling processes, working methods, collaboration, and innovation, as well as digital solutions as part of this. Challenges and opportunities
The position of LSS case handler involves public authority functions and case handling according to the Act on Support and Services for Persons with Certain Disabilities (LSS) and the Social Services Act (SoL). Your main responsibilities are to investigate, assess, make decisions on, and follow up on granted services for both children and adults. The work is based on the individual's needs and life situation, with a holistic perspective and a strong focus on lawful case handling. We have regular case reviews in groups and external legal supervision. In addition to ordinary work tasks, employees participate in various development projects to advance the operations.
What you need to bring
To succeed in this exciting and challenging work, it is a requirement that you have a degree in social work or another higher education degree that the employer deems equivalent.
The position of LSS case handler requires you to be service-oriented, flexible, and thorough. It is important that you are self-driven and take responsibility for your work tasks and can structure, organize, and prioritize your work. You have good collaboration skills and enjoy working with other professionals, always with the individual in focus. We work according to IBIC (the individual's needs at the center) as our investigation methodology and place great emphasis on lawfulness.
Experience working with the LSS target group and experience with public authority functions or other investigation work is meritorious. You need to have good communication skills as you will have many contacts with both clients, relatives, representatives, and other professionals. Since documentation and case recording are a large and important part of the work, you also need to have good knowledge of Swedish, both orally and in writing. As the world is constantly changing, you also need to be flexible, take initiative, and see challenges as something fun to solve.

Driver's license category B is a requirement.

For this role, the starting salary is normally between 34,000 - 47,000 kr depending on experience and competence.
For permanent employment, a probationary period may be applied.
