Are you ready for an important task? The Service Department is responsible for handling administrative law matters and providing public documents, register excerpts, and managing weapons cases. The department is represented throughout the country. The position will be located within the administrative law operations and includes issuing and revoking permits to possess weapons, inspections of weapons dealers, and other administrative law matters within the weapons field. Certain tasks are performed in close cooperation with police operations. Job Responsibilities As an administrative law handler, you will investigate, process, present, and make decisions in administrative law matters. In this group, cases are handled according to the Weapons Act and Weapons Regulation. Weapons cases include matters where private individuals have applied for permits to possess weapons, assessments of whether weapons permits should be revoked, and how weapons from estates should be handled. The work largely consists of reviewing submitted applications, investigating and drafting decisions in revocation cases that you will either present to decision-makers or decide on yourself. Processing is primarily conducted in the police's digital case management system. The work also includes: cooperation with other units within the police as well as other government agencies and other stakeholders inspections of weapons dealers and private individuals', shooting clubs', and associations' storage and possession of weapons certain physically demanding work such as handling weapons and ammunition within your area of responsibility Travel in connection with work occurs Qualifications We are looking for someone who has: Upper secondary school education or other education, or equivalent experience that the employer deems equivalent Good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish B-class driver's license The position requires Swedish citizenship. A security vetting will be conducted for the position. It is meritious if you have: Relevant professional experience in processing and decision-making of cases in the near future, such as from a government agency, and thus experience in presenting cases/decisions both orally and in writing Experience with IT-based document and case management systems and/or good system proficiency Recent experience from the relevant field that the employer deems relevant, such as a hunter's license and practical experience handling weapons We place great emphasis on personal qualities and suitability.
