We are now seeking a sustainability coordinator whose task is to support the business area's management and the other four units in our sustainability efforts within the Project Coordination unit.
Region Fastigheter develops and manages Region Skåne's properties with a focus on creating safe, functional, and sustainable environments for residents and employees. Right now, Region Skåne is undertaking the largest investments ever in Skåne's hospital areas. We develop complex construction projects in sensitive healthcare environments always with the highest demands for operational reliability. At the same time, we are expanding the infrastructure for public transport with new service depots for buses and trains.
Business Area (VO) Base Projects within Region Fastigheter is responsible for implementing our many renovation projects in our existing real estate portfolio throughout Skåne. We run approximately 500 projects annually.
Within VO Base Projects, our employees are divided into five units: Local Planning, Project Coordination, and our three project management units: Project Management Malmö, Project Management Lund, and Project Management Kristianstad/Helsingborg. We are a dynamic organization where assignments change over time.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
In your role as sustainability coordinator, you support the business area's management and hold together VO Base Projects' environmental and sustainability work. You work operatively with project managers, local planners, and interior designers in projects on environmental and sustainability issues, with the work based on Region Skåne's environmental program and other requirements and guidelines.
You actively contribute to Region Fastigheter's work on environmental and sustainability issues linked to the Property Owner Strategy, which includes, among other things, Environmental Building certification, reuse of loose furnishings and building materials, and energy efficiency. Your role includes coordinating and supporting VO Base Projects during internal and external audits such as environmental and energy audits (ISO 14001/50001) and participating in Region Fastigheter's environmental network and other environmental forums. You are also VO Base Projects' cross-organizational environmental support and environmental representative. When needed, you are expected to conduct presentations and training within the relevant knowledge area.
QUALIFICATIONS
We welcome you who have higher education/university education with a natural science focus, or alternatively other education or experience that the employer deems relevant. Good language skills in Swedish in both speech and writing with documented experience in report writing are required. You are certified as an Environmental Building coordinator for Environmental Building 4.0 or later version according to SGBC or have equivalent documented professional experience. You have worked with the management systems ISO 14001 and ISO 50001 and with logbooks.
To be successful in the role, we see that you have several years of experience in environmental and sustainability work, preferably from organizations within the real estate or construction/installation industry. Furthermore, you have good knowledge and experience in supporting organizations in a pedagogical manner to incorporate environmental and sustainability issues so that these become a natural part of all employees' daily work. It is also a merit to have experience with reuse of loose furnishings and building materials.
As a person, you are thorough, quality-conscious, and have good collaboration and communication skills. In addition, you have pedagogical abilities and work independently and in a structured manner to achieve set goals. You have high integrity, are initiative-taking, responsible, and inspire and create participation in the organization. We also value your ability to develop and think innovatively about our environmental and sustainability work. Great importance is placed on personal suitability.
A valid driver's license (Category B) is required.
