Habo Parish, located on the shore of Lake Vättern, approximately 15 km northwest of Jönköping, consists of three active and well-functioning congregations with many meeting places for both children and adults.
Habo is an expanding municipality with well-developed local services and opportunities to enjoy a good life with proximity to nature and outdoor activities. Many families with children live in our municipality, which has approximately 13,700 residents and approximately 8,400 are members of the church. In the parish comprising Habo, Gustav Adolf, and Brandstorp congregations, we are a team of 26 employees working around four churches and one chapel.

In our renovated Church House in Habo, there are new, functional offices and parish facilities.
You have the drive to work independently but will also collaborate closely with a diaconal assistant and the parish's other employees and volunteers to develop diaconal work. In Habo Parish, we face new exciting challenges as we are in an innovative and developing phase.
We are looking for someone who:
has previous experience in diaconal work within the Swedish Church (meriting).
is well-grounded in the Swedish Church's faith, confession, and teachings.
belongs to the Swedish Church and shares its values.
has commitment to voluntary collaboration.
can meet people of all ages, as you will work with both children and the elderly.
can use digital tools and communicate easily in both speech and writing.
has ease in creating and developing relationships and working toward set goals.
is responsible, organized, and has good collaboration skills.
has a B driver's license and access to a car.
If you are applying for the position of Deacon, you must be ordained as a deacon in the Swedish Church. If you are applying for the position of Diaconal Assistant, we would like to see that you wish to train as a deacon in the future.
