Habiliteringscenter Liljeholmen barn seeks occupational therapist for RN-team About Us: Habiliteringscenter Liljeholmen barn is a specialist outpatient clinic under Habilitering & Hälsa. We provide services to children ages 0-17 with persistent functional limitations such as autism spectrum disorder, intellectual disabilities, and mobility impairments. Our clinic is located in Liljeholmen, with convenient access to bus, subway, and light rail. We are 27 employees working together in interprofessional teams to facilitate daily life for people with functional limitations. About the Position: We are now seeking an occupational therapist for a full-time long-term substitute position in our RN-team. The RN-team serves patients ages 0-17 with mobility impairments or multiple functional limitations. In addition to occupational therapists, the team includes speech-language pathologists, physical therapists, special education specialists, social workers, and psychologists. As an occupational therapist at Liljeholmen barn, you are an important part of the team and in interventions for our patients. You will have the opportunity to use all of your expertise. You will assess patients' abilities and activity levels, plan treatment interventions, and implement them. You will trial, prescribe, and follow up on individually adapted assistive devices, as well as provide consultative interventions and knowledge transfer to patients, families, and staff. Work takes place at our clinic and in the child's home environment. As an occupational therapist, you work both independently and in close collaboration with team colleagues—for example, with physical therapists regarding motor skills and seating issues, and with speech-language pathologists regarding communication and control of both high-tech and low-tech assistive devices. You collaborate regularly with other healthcare providers, municipal services, assistive device centers, and authorities. We offer stimulating and varied work in a pleasant work environment. Our unit has a total of 6 occupational therapists across three different teams, providing excellent opportunities for professional development, collaboration, and collegial support. You will be offered a structured introduction period with introductory training. About You: We seek a licensed occupational therapist. We want someone with experience working with children with mobility impairments and intellectual disabilities. You should be experienced in prescribing, trialing, adapting, and introducing assistive devices based on the child's needs and functional level. It is a merit if you are experienced with CPUP assessments and working with high-tech communication devices. You take personal responsibility for driving, planning, and developing patient work in a structured manner. To thrive in this role, you need to be both attentive and clear in your communication.
