About the positionWestra Aros Gymnasium is seeking a qualified high school teacher in programming, AI (Artificial Intelligence), and information technology for the fall term 2027. This is a permanent full-time position (100%).
Teaching will take place in both the Technology Program and our Electrical and Energy Program with a focus on Computer and Communication Technology. You will teach Programming levels 1 and 2, Artificial Intelligence levels 1 and 2, and Information Technology level 1.
You are a qualified high school teacher with strong subject knowledge and excellent pedagogical skills. We expect you to inspire and engage students in learning based on their individual needs and to vary your teaching methods.
You easily build trust with students, colleagues, and guardians. You value close collaboration with colleagues, are receptive to others' knowledge, strive to continually develop your teaching, and participate in collegial learning.
We place great emphasis on personal suitability. We will conduct interviews on an ongoing basis, so the position may be filled before the application deadline.
Westra Aros Gymnasium is a co-location of four existing schools opening in the fall. We are moving into new, modern facilities in Mimerkvarteren, with an attractive location near Central Station in Västerås.
At the school you will have approximately 60 teacher colleagues, with 75 staff members in total. You will encounter a well-organized school with clear structures, engaged colleagues, and an open climate. We collaborate, share experiences, and develop teaching together.
