The Secondary and Adult Education Board is responsible for the municipality's obligations under school legislation for secondary education, adapted secondary education, municipal adult education, special education for adults, and Swedish instruction for immigrants. We are now seeking a high school teacher for the construction and civil engineering program, land and site management focus!
Employment Information
The position is a permanent, full-time employment, with a planned start as soon as possible according to agreement.
Your Responsibilities
You will be part of a team that together is responsible for education within the construction and civil engineering program. In this role, you plan, implement, and follow up on teaching based on the curriculum and course objectives, with focus on both practical and theoretical components.
You actively work to develop the pedagogical work, create a safe learning environment, and support students' knowledge development. The position also includes collaboration with the industry and responsibility for students' workplace-based learning (APL).
About You
You are a clear leader in the classroom with the ability to create a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment, structure, and context for all students. You are well-versed in the school's governing documents. You differentiate and vary your teaching based on students' needs. You share your knowledge and experience to contribute to collegial learning. An important part of the teaching role is building good relationships with students, colleagues, and guardians. Since teaching is largely based on various projects, collaboration skills and solution-focused approaches are valued qualities. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.
Requirements
Education and/or experience in land and site management
Experience working with young people
Fluent knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written
Clean criminal record check
Class B driver's license
Merits
Experience with wheel loaders, excavators, and other commonly used machinery in land and site management
Knowledge of road work and safe lifting practices
Experience teaching young people with different learning styles
Experience placing orders for various types of projects
Since there are fur animals at the school, you should not be allergic. Heavy work may occur in the job.
