For a cheerful, cuddly, and playful almost 10-year-old boy, we are now seeking a personal assistant for a mixed position with both day and night shifts. He's a boy who loves closeness, security, and routines – and who needs support around the clock, both when the day is full of play and when the night is quiet. He has extensive support needs, partly due to epilepsy with both minor and major seizures, which means you always need to be nearby and ready to act calmly and securely according to instructions. You will be his security – whether the sun is shining or the world is sleeping. ________________________________________ What does the job entail? Being a personal assistant to a child is not just about practical support – it's about creating security, continuity, and presence. • During the day (after school on weekdays or all day on weekends and holidays), you help him with all daily activities, create joy, and stimulate play and development. • During the night, you're nearby, ensure he sleeps safely, and help with the routines that go with night and morning. You'll receive good introduction and guidance from the family and our team. Even though the work is done independently, you're never alone in your role. ________________________________________ About the position: • Degree of employment: to be discussed, but between 60-75% may be relevant • Working hours: Both day and night shifts according to a fixed rotating schedule (weekdays 13:40-21:00, nights 21:00-08:00 (09:00 on weekends), weekends and holidays 09:00-21:00) • Placement location: Mainly at his mom's home just north of Ystad (Sövestad), but work at his dad's home in Malmö (Limhamn) may also occur. • Start: Immediately ________________________________________ We're looking for someone who: • Has a big heart, a calm mind, and a warm personality • Is responsible, empathetic, and confident in yourself • Is attentive and patient • Has the ability to work independently but is receptive • Preferably has previous experience with epilepsy and assistance • Has experience with AAC, TAKK, eye-gaze, or other communication support • Thrives in a work situation with great responsibility • Is a non-smoker • Sees the value in making a difference for a child – and a family • Can begin introduction as soon as possible ________________________________________ We warmly welcome your application!
