Then we have an exciting and developmental assignment for you as a group leader! Needs Assessment for Seniors is looking for a temporary group leader as our current group leader is going on parental leave, with the possibility of extension. Needs Assessment for Seniors is responsible for public administration according to the Social Services Act for people over 65 years old. We investigate, make decisions, order, and follow up on services for our target group. The area is led by an area manager and includes four units within needs assessment for seniors, which together consist of 91 engaged employees. In the group we help each other and support one another during work peaks, share knowledge, and our joy of work. Your role As a group leader, you lead others without being their manager. You have an important role in supporting and coaching our needs assessment officers in their daily work. Together with the unit manager, you are responsible for leading and distributing work on cases and processing. You lead case discussions and make decisions about services according to the Social Services Act for people over 65 years old. You work strategically with the needs assessment officers and provide support in complex cases and guide them towards decisions. You help with writing various statements, appeals, oral negotiations, requests for extensions, etc. You have financial awareness and follow up on costs for the unit based on the processing. The role includes some personnel planning for vacation scheduling and short-term absences. You plan and hold case handler meetings for the area and can participate in recruitment. The work consists largely of documentation and communication and therefore places great demands on your ability to express yourself well in speech and writing. Your competence and experience We are looking for you who have: A degree in social work or education that the employer deems equivalent Current experience in public administration within elderly care Very good knowledge of all parts of the case processing process – investigation, decision, and follow-up Good legal expertise in the field with good knowledge of relevant legislation and case law Good proficiency in Swedish language in speech and writing. It is a merit if you have: Experience leading others and coordinating work. Experience working with needs assessment in the City of Stockholm. Practical experience and knowledge of the documentation system Paraply and LifeCare. We need you to be flexible and able to adapt quickly to changing circumstances. In needs assessment, you will make many decisions, and we are looking for you who make decisions with judgment and act on them despite limited information, time pressure, or difficult circumstances. As a person, you are organized with a good ability to organize and prioritize your work efficiently. You are communicative and have the ability to listen and adapt to your target audience. We are looking for you who have good collaboration skills, always with the individual in focus.
