Then you could be the group leader we're looking for at Sundbyberg city! Here in the IT unit, we are responsible for support and operations of the city's IT environment. You will become an important part of ensuring that the city's operations have a functioning and stable IT environment. Through your work, you contribute to enabling the city's employees to carry out their tasks for residents, students, and service users. The IT unit is part of the Development and Enterprise department under the Management and Coordination sector and works closely with colleagues and operations throughout the organization. As a group leader for the service desk, you have a unique combined role. Approximately 20–30% of your time is devoted to functional coaching leadership of the support team, where you structure, prioritize, and develop daily work. The remaining 70–80% you work operatively with your colleagues in the service desk, providing IT support on a daily basis via phone, remote assistance, or on-site at the city's various operations. Since the role involves close functional leadership and extensive direct contact with our users, the position requires you to be on-site in our offices to a large extent, though remote work can occur when work tasks permit. You report directly to the IT Operations Manager. Examples of areas of responsibility: Lead, distribute, and follow up on daily work in the support team to ensure high quality and that we meet our service levels. Provide technical support on-site at our service desk, via phone, ticketing system, and remote assistance, as well as solve problems at operations. You help users with everything from computers, phones, applications, and accounts to more complex troubleshooting. Install and configure clients and mobile devices. Work actively with user administration in, for example, Active Directory and Microsoft 365. Work in close collaboration with the city's system technicians and system administrators to escalate tickets appropriately, ensure operations, and contribute to smooth handovers. Create order and structure in our working methods, document tickets, and ensure efficient and consistent procedures within the team. Follow up on statistics/KPIs and drive and participate in smaller local IT projects and improvement initiatives to develop our service desk and delivery capacity. We want you to have At least upper secondary education with an IT focus or equivalent knowledge that the employer considers equivalent. Many years of current experience in operational IT support or service desk work. Experience in coordinating, leading teams, or distributing work (preferably as a team lead, group leader, or similar). Good knowledge of Windows environment and Microsoft 365 as well as experience working systematically with ticketing systems. Very good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing.
