We are looking for you to take the next step in your career and take on the role of leading a group of 16 railway project engineers in Gothenburg, Varberg, and Halmstad. As a group leader, you will also work actively in assignments and develop the business as part of the management group for the Railway business unit. Norconsult's railway expertise consists of approximately 60 well-qualified consultants from Gävle in the north to Malmö in the south. Our assignment portfolio includes everything from ERTMS projects to BEST assignments and qualified investigations. We have a stable order backlog and several important framework agreements with Trafikverket, Trafikförvaltningen, Traffic authorities, and municipalities throughout Sweden. As a group leader in railways, you lead an engaged and competent group of approximately 16 consultants with broad experience. Together with the department manager, you are responsible for resource planning, skills development, and sales and personnel matters within the group. At the national level, we have well-functioning collaboration where we help each other with strategic work, tender management, and resource coordination where the goal is always the right consultant in the right assignment nationally. In parallel with the group leader role, you will also have the opportunity to continue developing technically in assignments, primarily as an assignment manager or technical responsible. Your Profile You have a great interest in track and railway matters, are educated as a civil or college engineer or have practical equivalent experience. Solid knowledge of railway engineering, 5–10 years, and at least 3 years of leadership experience. You are a positive and open person driven by a great interest in developing employees and growing our business. For us, it is important that you are service-minded, have initiative and collaboration skills. You are independent and express yourself well in speech and writing. Together with your colleagues, you find the best solutions for Norconsult and our customers. Meriting is experience in track, ground, or signal technology and review experience or working in the contracting industry.
