Individual and Family Care (IFO) in Smedjebacken has undergone a reorganization and is now recruiting two group leaders for the service. This position concerns the group leader for the children and family services group. The service consists of a total of 20 employees distributed across three groups: an administrative group, a children and family services group, and an adult services group. The entire service is managed by a service director. The children and family services group handles cases concerning children and families, family law, and foster care, with both authority-exercising staff and preventive and treatment staff included in the group. The group consists of a total of 7 positions: three investigating social workers who also follow up on interventions, one social worker working with family law and foster care, and three family treatment specialists. We are a small operation where we help and support each other with a focus on providing the best possible service to the residents of Smedjebacken municipality! With us, you will have the opportunity to develop the service together with a management team and motivated colleagues based on the new Social Services Act. Responsibilities As a group leader, you lead, inspire, and mentor your team members. You distribute cases and conduct regular case reviews with both authority-exercising staff and treatment staff. You participate and ensure that the group performs its tasks in a legally secure manner and with high quality. In your role, you function as an accessible support where you manage work, coach, and provide methodological guidance in daily operations. The role is operational while also requiring strategic work together with the service director and colleague. The assignment includes collaboration with other actors, both internally and externally. You also represent the Family and Education Committee in Administrative Court, District Court, and Court of Appeal. You will also present cases at the Family and Education Committee's individual board. You are part of the management team that meets once a week to plan operations, coordinate work, and drive development initiatives together. You are an important part of the systematic quality work and contribute to developing your group's work as well as the entire service's work. You contribute to developing work methods and approaches based on the service's needs, goals, and applicable legislation. Qualifications You have a degree in social work or another behavioral science education that the employer deems equivalent. You need to have good knowledge of the Social Services Act and its various areas. You have a driver's license. A good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both verbally and in writing. It is advantageous if you have experience in social services and leadership in some form. Personal Qualities You are confident and engaged with the ability to create participation and commitment in the work group. You support employees in their development while creating conditions for them to succeed in their assignments. You need to be organized and thorough and have the ability to juggle many tasks even when the pace can sometimes be high. You take own initiatives, drive development work forward, and work independently within your area of responsibility. You need to be able to collaborate both externally and internally.
