To best carry out this work and also provide greater opportunity for developing our services, we are organized into three units for children and youth: Investigation Unit, Placement Unit, and Intervention Unit. In total, we have about 65 employees and the units work closely together.
The Family Foster Care Group is part of the Placement Unit. In the Family Foster Care Group, social secretaries currently follow up on placed children, and family foster care secretaries recruit, investigate, and mentor our contractors. We are now seeking a group leader to manage the family foster care secretaries. Currently, one group leader oversees both social secretaries and family foster care secretaries. The Placement Unit also includes the Youth Group, which handles investigations and interventions for young people.
The Unit has extensive experience, broad expertise, and work enthusiasm and great commitment to continuously developing our approaches to work with placed children and young people as well as our contractors.

WORK DUTIES
As group leader for the family foster care secretaries, you will help shape the new division and structure of the group. You lead and coordinate daily operations and make decisions according to delegation. You distribute cases and serve as a sounding board and methodological support. Some case handling is included in the position. You also represent your work group both internally and externally to our cooperation partners. You will work closely with other group leaders, and together you have joint planning around placed children and young people.
You are part of the unit's management group together with other group leaders and unit managers. You will be an important part of our development and quality work to create a modern social service together with other colleagues.
We are a unit with deep and broad experience, have worked together for a long time, enjoy each other's company, and where laughter is an important part. The family foster care secretaries recruit and investigate new foster homes according to A Lasting Relationship. Recruitment is also directed to other contractors such as emergency homes, contact families, and contact persons. The work involves regular mentoring and training for our contractors. Together with other municipalities in the region, we offer our foster families basic training in "A Home to Grow In." We also offer our foster families mentoring and further training through Safety Circles and ICDP.
The Unit holds regular Enhanced Consultations where placement-related and placed cases are raised. Cases are followed up and quality assured here with a focus on handling difficulties and challenges in a solution-focused and decisive manner with the child's best interest at the center.
We have a regular BBIC license and document in Combine. External mentoring is included in the position.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are seeking you with a social work degree or equivalent education. You have experience working as a family foster care secretary and in social services authority work directed at children and young people within foster care. You have good knowledge of the social services mandate and current legislation and have completed the training "A Lasting Relationship." Experience in management is considered a merit. We actively work to highlight the need for contractors in the local area, so experience in recruiting contractors is an advantage.
As a person, you are clear, thorough, and have an easy time independently handling when conditions and planning change in your work. You are development-oriented but at the same time have the ability to convey stability and set realistic goals in the challenges that the social services mandate entails. Since the work involves many contacts, both internally and externally, you should be outgoing, attentive, and have good collaboration skills. You should have good ability to express yourself in speech and writing. Great weight is placed on personal suitability. We are seeking someone with a Category B driver's license.
