This is done by developing and providing specialist capabilities that increase operational effectiveness in addressing the region's problem areas. With specialist expertise, high service standards, and good collaboration, the operational unit is an important part of the operational and crime-fighting work in North Region. The Traffic Section is part of the Operational Unit in North Region. The police's traffic safety work aims to contribute to a reduced number of deaths and injuries in traffic. To prevent traffic accidents, traffic safety work focuses on the prioritized areas of speed and sobriety, as well as flying inspections and other monitoring of commercial traffic. The Traffic Section investigates and prevents traffic accidents and traffic crimes. The section currently consists of five groups. We are now seeking a group manager for Sundsvall. 1 position(s). WORK DUTIES As manager of the traffic group, you report to the section manager and are part of the traffic section's management group, where you together are responsible for ensuring that assignments are completed and for driving the authority's change and development work. You have special responsibility for your group's activities and results. As group manager, you represent the entire Police Authority both internally and externally and work to strengthen confidence in police operations. As a manager, you drive development by inspiring and encouraging reflection and feedback in a way that is based on our compliance with the law and treating people equally. QUALIFICATIONS This is an opportunity for you who have: • at least 6 months of continuous experience working as a supervisor or manager in the past five-year period • experience participating in change and development work • a police degree according to Regulation (2014:1105) on police officer training • at least five years of experience as a police officer We consider it an advantage if you additionally have: • experience leading others towards set goals and results • interest in traffic and vehicles • experience as a traffic police officer • experience in the traffic police field such as work with speed and behavior monitoring • participation in management forums • experience with police organization operations • management and leadership training at direct, indirect, and/or strategic level • experience participating in/driving collaboration with societal actors outside the police organization/own organization • passed PNF step 3 or older equivalent training • experience in the commercial traffic field • experience with supervision of commercial traffic When we hire, we will place great emphasis on personal qualities and leadership abilities.
