Job Description As a group manager for coordinated staffing planning, you will together with another group manager lead a team of personnel planners who work with short- and long-term staffing planning, primarily for correctional officers for core operations within Region West. You report to a section manager and share personnel, budget, and operational responsibility for approximately 25-30 personnel planners. Your task is to strategically and operatively plan staffing across the region's operational areas through scheduling on both short and long-term bases. As group manager, you supervise your employees in daily work and maintain regular contact with staff at operational facilities for information, forecasting, planning, and monitoring of staffing efforts. The needs of the operations are decisive, and you and your team work proactively to reach established goals. Together with your team and in collaboration with the operational facilities, you work towards efficient and results-focused methods based on standardized procedures that have been developed as support. You also ensure that planning is based on current legislation and collective agreements. The coordinated staffing function and the role of group manager in Region West have existed for 5 years. Your task will therefore be to continue developing and leading the operations together with your fellow manager with whom you share the assignment. We therefore place high demands on your ability to collaborate and lead through change. Together with other functions such as the recruitment organization and personnel training, you will contribute to effective personnel supply on both short and long-term bases within the Swedish Prison and Probation Service. The relationship with and collaboration with managers and other cooperation within Region West, as well as with the central coordinated staffing organization at the Swedish Prison and Probation Service headquarters, will be central. Travel is part of the position, both within Region West and to the headquarters. Qualifications We are looking for someone who is stable, can lead and motivate, and provide others with the skills required to effectively reach common goals. You are creative and take initiative, work well with complex issues, and can analyze difficult problems. You can communicate clearly and are keen on creating a dialogue-oriented climate. You are an outward-facing relationship builder who is good at making contacts and maintaining relationships. It is a prerequisite that you are comfortable working in large personnel administration systems and that you have good knowledge of scheduling and staffing issues as well as the laws and agreements that govern these areas.
