Group Manager for Mine Planning

Your role As a group manager in mine planning in Malmberget, you are responsible for a team of engineers with different specialist areas and play an important role in our ongoing transition toward greater depth and improved working methods. You are part of the management group for the section and work closely with geology, surveying, and production. Your team works with, among other things: Long-term mine planning and LOMP (Life of mine plan) Short and long-term production plans Mine layout design Production drilling plans Rock mechanics related to surface stability Use and development of the Deswik planning tool You lead and develop the team's work while contributing to improved workflows, better data quality in planning, and increased plan compliance. The role offers great opportunities to influence both methods and working practices in an operation undergoing strong development. What you bring with you We are looking for you as a confident and clear leader who creates engagement in your team. You work in a structured manner and have strategic thinking where you can translate long-term plans into concrete results. You have an analytical ability and make well-founded decisions, while being communicative and collaborative in the way you work with other functions. (Personal competencies: Structured, Strategic thinking, Analytical ability/decision-making, Communicative, Collaborative, Confident) In addition to this, you have: University or college education in mining engineering, geology, rock mechanics, or a related field Experience working in mine planning or production Good knowledge of Swedish and English, spoken and written Class B driver's license Meritorious: Leadership experience Experience working with Deswik or similar planning tools Experience in rock mechanics, geology, or related specialist areas We warmly welcome your application!
