Job Description AFRY's environmental organization is currently national with offices from Malmö to Kiruna, and through close collaboration between different technical areas, we form a strong whole together. In Sweden, we currently have over 220 employees within the competency areas of Environment and Sustainability. Service Area Environment and Sustainability North in Sundsvall, Örnsköldsvik, and Östersund currently consists of approximately 10 employees, distributed between offices in Sundsvall, Örnsköldsvik, and Östersund, with specializations such as contaminated areas, permits and environmental impact assessments, and natural environment. The advertised role as Group Manager can be located in either Sundsvall, Örnsköldsvik, or Östersund and reports to the Service Area Manager. You are offered a varied role with many contact points and client meetings, where you are responsible for your employees' individual development and working conditions. You contribute to work with strategy, profitability, market, quality, and competence and personnel development. You combine your management role with your own consulting work, for example as project manager or technical specialist. Work is primarily based from your location, but travel occurs. We are looking for someone who enjoys combining personnel responsibility with project work and who has an interest in teamwork, development, and skills enhancement. Qualifications For this role, we see that you have at least eight years of experience in the environmental field, of which at least three years as an environmental consultant, and are well versed in issues related to our technical specializations: environmental permits, natural environment, and/or contaminated land. You also have good knowledge of Swedish environmental legislation. You hold an academic degree in environmental science with a natural science or technical focus. You have experience from consulting work and have worked as a project manager. You have previously demonstrated good leadership and have a natural ability to engage and motivate others. We value your social competence and your willingness to develop and be challenged – both technically and in business and leadership matters. You are business-driven, relationship-building, and it is an advantage if you have an established network in the industry. Sharing your knowledge with both clients and colleagues is something you see as self-evident. You speak Swedish and English fluently in both speech and writing.
