Company Description Business Unit (BU) Vattenfall Power Solutions is a business unit of approximately 700 employees within Business Area (BA) Vattenfall Generation that trains personnel in Swedish nuclear power, delivers nuclear fuel to Vattenfall's nuclear power plants, develops and executes projects and assignments, and provides internal technical specialist services for all of Vattenfall's operations, corporate staff, and stakeholders. This includes activities such as developing and providing training, project management and project support, analysis management and investigations, product development, nuclear technical safety and dam safety assignments. The focus within Vattenfall Power Solutions is to develop our capabilities in project management and selected key technical disciplines. We actively work on continuous improvement initiatives and development of our models, where our work and expertise create significant value for Vattenfall and its investments. About the Role Do you want to contribute to safe and sustainable energy production for the future? At Vattenfall, there is a way. We are now looking for a manager for the Licensing East group who wants to be part of developing both people and operations at a time when the energy sector is undergoing major changes. Within Business Area Generation and the business unit Vattenfall Power Solutions, we contribute technical specialist expertise, projects and development initiatives that strengthen Vattenfall's operations. We operate as a coordinated platform for knowledge transfer, efficient working methods and consolidated needs management within the business. Our employees work close to nuclear power, but also within hydropower, wind power, heating, hydrogen development and electricity grids. Through our projects and assignments, we create conditions for the transition to a fossil-free society. As group manager for Licensing East, you will have a central role in creating the conditions for safe and stable energy supply, while contributing to the development of the future's energy system. Your Responsibilities As group manager, you are responsible for the group's operations, deliverables and development. You lead a team of approximately nine specialists located in Solna, Nyköping, Uppsala and Oskarshamn, which means you conduct remote leadership and create engagement across multiple locations. You work closely with operations including Forsmark, Nuclear Back-end Solutions, the new nuclear power department, and various functions within Business Area Generation. In this role you will: - Be responsible for the group's results, deliverables and priorities. - Set goals, follow up on operations and drive development and improvement work. - Lead, coach and create conditions for engagement, collaboration and competence development in the group. - Be responsible for competence assurance and development of employees based on the business's needs, both short and long term. - Support and contribute to the business's change and development initiatives. - Have responsibility for working environment, budget and salary setting. - Actively contribute to the management group for Safety East. As group manager, you are part of the management group for Safety East and report to the unit manager. We know that our employees are the key to our success. Requirements We are looking for you who have: - University or civil engineering education, or equivalent experience. - Experience leading people, teams or operations. - Very good communication skills in Swedish and English, both spoken and written. - Driver's license (category B) It is advantageous if you have: - Previous experience as a manager. - Experience with or understanding of licensing issues in regulated operations. - Experience from the nuclear power industry.
