Job Description The team currently consists of approximately ten consultants working with processes and technology in water and wastewater treatment facilities, as well as sustainability-related issues, REACH, and environmental permitting matters. The group's customers are found in the process industry, largely within Swedish forestry but also in many other sectors such as mining and metals, pharmaceuticals, and chemicals. Consultants work primarily with technical investigations and problem-solving for existing facilities, REACH consortium work, and permitting matters, but also with concept and feasibility studies for capacity expansions or new constructions. These feasibility studies often lead us to larger engagements in the form of continued studies and implementation projects together with other process engineering colleagues and colleagues from other disciplines. Together with colleagues worldwide at AFRY, we are among the industry leaders. According to the internationally recognized ENR ranking of consulting firms, AFRY is, for example, number one globally in the pulp and paper industry. The section works closely with the AFRY network globally, as well as with approximately 150 other process engineers in Sweden and with other engineering disciplines. AFRY generally works with everything from idea and concept studies to implementation projects and commissioning. Your task will be to continue strengthening and developing the team through employee development and recruitment. You are also expected to create new business within your area of expertise and maintain frequent customer contact. Collaboration with others within the process discipline locally and globally, as well as with other engineering disciplines, is very important. The role includes, among other things: Coach and lead consultants in the team and ensure that we have employees who thrive and develop with us Maintain close dialogue with new and existing customers to ensure we support them effectively, both by following up on ongoing assignments and by selling new ones Responsible for recruitment and development of the team with the help of our recruiter, business developer, and of course together with your management colleagues and your manager Responsible for your team's workload, including working yourself on relevant assignments, and driving toward set goals Responsible for your team's assignments as project manager or project sponsor The tasks are highly dynamic and you will work with multiple external and internal contact points. You will have considerable freedom in your role and will have the opportunity to test your methods for success, of course with support from your immediate manager. The team consists of wonderful colleagues with high expertise whom you will certainly enjoy working with! Team members are located at offices in Gothenburg, Karlstad, Linköping, Stockholm, Borlänge, Falun, and Härnösand. Your location is flexible between Gothenburg, Stockholm, or one of our other larger offices. Qualifications We want you to: Have a university or civil engineering degree, or equivalent relevant knowledge Have at least 5 years of professional experience from a relevant field Communicate fluently in Swedish and English, both spoken and written Be interested in leadership. Previous leadership experience is a merit Relevant background or knowledge in process industry Previous experience in the consulting industry and buying/selling of consulting services is considered a merit Additional Information Welcome to submit your application.
