We are now seeking a Group Manager for Housing Services.
The Housing Group is responsible for the university's housing for international students, doctoral candidates, and researchers. This operation is an important part of the university's internationalization and helps make Stockholm University attractive to students and researchers from around the world.

Responsibilities
As group manager, you lead an operation responsible for the university's housing stock of approximately 750 units. You have personnel responsibility for a team of five employees and are responsible for operations, budget, and work environment.
You report to the Section Manager for Facility and Housing Services. As group manager, you actively participate in the Property Department's management forum, where you work together with other managers to contribute to the department's development.
The role involves many contact points, both internally within the university and externally with property owners, authorities, and other collaborative partners.
As group manager, you are responsible for, among other things:
leading, planning, and developing the group's operational activities
developing processes and work methods to meet operational needs
creating conditions for a good work environment and engaged staff
managing budget, financial monitoring, and resource planning
ensuring lawful and efficient management of housing
managing follow-up, renegotiation, and renewal of rental agreements
developing collaboration with the university's external landlords
contributing to the university's internationalization efforts
cooperating with other operations within the Property Department and other parts of the university.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who has:
at least three years of documented management experience with personnel responsibility
relevant academic education or equivalent experience that the employer deems equivalent
experience with budget, operations, and personnel responsibility
experience leading administrative, service-oriented, or property management operations
strong ability to express yourself in Swedish and English, both orally and in writing.
It is meritorious if you have:
experience from a university, college, or other state authority
experience in housing provisioning, property management, or rental administration
experience in change management and business development
knowledge of rental law, contract matters, or public procurement (LOU)
experience working in an international environment
good digital skills and experience working with modern IT systems.

Since the group works providing services to international students and researchers, we place great emphasis on your communication skills, professional demeanor, and ability to build good relationships. You enjoy collaborating with others and have an ease in building trust, both internally and externally.
Great importance will be placed on personal suitability.
About the Position
The position is a permanent employment with a six-month probationary period. Start date by agreement. Stockholm University applies individual salary setting.
