The municipality's adapted primary school for grades 7–9 is an integrated part of the school. Carlslundsskolan is one of Umeå Municipality's practice schools, which means that during the school year it receives teacher students for their work-based training (VFU). Responsibilities In this position, you will teach grades 6-9 in German and English, and serve as a mentor in grade 8. Your task as a primary school teacher is to plan instruction based on the curriculum, as well as conduct broader planning together with colleagues. You will individually and together with colleagues follow up, evaluate, and analyze instruction, as well as assess and document students' knowledge development. You are responsible for creating a safe and inclusive learning environment that contributes to students' goal achievement. As a teacher, you are responsible for informing students and guardians about the student's knowledge development. About You You are a clear leader in the classroom with the ability to create a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment with structure and context for all students. You are well versed in the school's governing documents. You differentiate and vary instruction based on students' needs. You share your knowledge and experience to contribute to collegial learning. An important part of the teaching role is building good relationships with students, colleagues, and guardians. Personal suitability is given considerable weight. Requirements Teacher certification and subject eligibility in German and English for grades 7-9. Experience teaching at the upper secondary level, including grading. Valid extract from the criminal record register. Good command of Swedish language, both spoken and written. Employment Type This position is a temporary contract, 70% part-time, from 2026-10-26 through 2027-06-14. We warmly welcome your application!
