Östergårdsskolan is a primary school with grades 4-9 and an associated afterschool program. The school has approximately 650 students. Your Responsibilities We are looking for a licensed teacher with certification to teach home and consumer studies in grades 6-9. As a teacher at Östergårdsskolan, you are expected to plan, implement, evaluate, and develop instruction based on our governing documents and organizational goals. The pedagogical responsibility that teachers have for students to reach their goals often requires resourcefulness, creativity, and flexibility. You have high expectations for students and can motivate them to achieve strong results by clearly communicating goals and learning requirements. The teaching role requires a strong ability to analyze each child's needs and the ability to use teaching methods well adapted to the individual student and group. Based on evidence-based research, you can develop your work and, with good knowledge and experience, you work effectively with relevant digital tools. It is important that you adapt your instruction and work in a language-developing way. Your Qualifications Teacher certification with authorization in home and consumer studies for grades 6-9. Experience and competence working with children within special education (NPF) is advantageous. You have solid knowledge of and insight into the school's governing documents and can effectively use them in your daily work. You also have strong didactic and pedagogical abilities and can therefore lead and organize your work to create a conducive learning environment for all our students throughout their school day. You have a strong ability to create an accessible learning environment for all our students and strong competence in low-affect interactions.
