We are now looking for you to be an F-3 teacher at Bergaskolan!
You will be part of a team of teachers where you work together to plan and are responsible for students' education and development in grade 2. Your focus is on creating the best conditions for each student in a safe and trustworthy environment. You will teach students in grades F-3 of primary school, where you educate and support students in their social and academic development. You challenge students to take their own initiative, develop their interests, and take responsibility for themselves and others. In your role as a mentor, you have specific responsibility for a group of students, which gives you the opportunity to follow their development and personal growth more closely. As a mentor, you inform and keep students' guardians updated on the student's development through regular development meetings.
Qualifications
You are a certified teacher with qualifications to teach grades F-3, preferably with broad qualifications. If you have previous experience working as a teacher, we consider that an asset. You have good insight into and knowledge of the school's governing documents and can use them effectively in your daily work. Furthermore, you have good didactic and pedagogical abilities and can therefore lead and organize your work to create a conducive learning environment for our students throughout their school day. Based on evidence-based research, you can develop your work and, with good knowledge and experience, you work effectively with relevant digital tools. Of course, you have a professional attitude and work to build good relationships with our students, their guardians, and all your colleagues at the school.

About the Workplace
Bergaskolan is a large F-9 primary school with an attached after-school program. There are also two classes within adapted primary education for older students and an associated short-term care facility. Our facilities are well adapted for the activities that operate within them. The proximity to Limhamn Sports Field and Sports Hall is something we utilize well. As we move into the fall of 2026, the school is restructuring its work and development organization where assistant principals will have greater opportunities to work closely with their areas of responsibility. The principal leads the integrated student support services, which include school nurses, counselors, student welfare officers, and special educators. Special teachers are also part of the student support team when it comes to academic development and follow-up. Our pedagogical focus is on language and academic development work that should permeate the entire school. In our earlier grades, we invest strongly in meeting all our students, with a clear focus on reading, writing, and arithmetic. At Bergaskolan, we actively work to ensure every student feels welcome and safe. As important as our students thriving and doing well is the importance of our staff having clear assignments that are followed up on, and work teams that support each other and work together toward our goals. School management works closely with the teams for unified and focused pedagogical leadership that leads to a safe school and good results for both students and staff.
