Ref: 20262063 Job Responsibilities Our German teacher is going on parental leave and we are now seeking a substitute. You will teach German in grades 6-9. The position is full-time and all teaching takes place at Söderkullaskolan. The substitution initially covers one term, but with good opportunities for extension. You are responsible for planning and instruction as well as assessing your students' acquired knowledge. Your instruction is anchored in curriculum documents and current research. You develop and advance your subject with high ambition for inclusive instruction for all students. Your teaching is also modern and creative, aiming to reach and find strategies to strengthen your students, both academically and in their personal development. In addition to your team of teachers, you will also collaborate with subject teachers from other grade levels and be led by a principal who believes in the school as a learning organization where professional development and personal growth are valued. Your role also includes mentorship in grade 8. Together with your colleagues, you work to ensure that students have a well-functioning school experience. Planning, evaluation, student welfare, development conversations, and continuous contact with guardians are examples of tasks included in the role. Qualifications You are a certified teacher with credentials to teach German in grades 7-9. You also have very good knowledge of the Swedish language in both speaking and writing. If you have previous experience working as a teacher, we see that as a merit. You have good insight into and knowledge of the school's curriculum documents and can use them effectively in your daily work. Furthermore, you have good didactic and pedagogical abilities and can therefore lead and organize your work to create an orderly and good learning environment for our students throughout their school day. Based on evidence-based research, you can develop your work and with good knowledge and practice, you work effectively with relevant digital tools. Of course, you have a professional approach and work for good relationships with our students, their guardians, and all your colleagues at school.
